Monsoons and Mangoes / Sophie and Jack Designs

I love working with small business and especially small handmade designers like the gorgeous Nikki from Monsoons and Mangoes
I first came across Nikki on facebook a while ago and her beautiful bright designs caught my eye straight away. Nikki is from Darwin which i think has rubbed off on her creatively as you just get a sense of the tropics, warm balmy afternoons and being in holiday mode from her creations.

With her very clever use of vintage materials as well, I sometimes spot a pattern from my youth that my nan or grandmother might have used when making things for around their home. I find myself being brought back to my childhood and a time when carefree days felt like they went on forever.

To say I am a fan of Nikki's work is an understatement so having the opportunity to photograph some of her items was a pleasure.

I also teamed this dress up with some gorgeous accessories from one of my other favourite gals who create, The wonderful Alison from Sophie and Jack designs.
